There are a LOT of channels and videos on YouTube. Sometimes it is hard to find new channels that produce consistently good AND clean content. If you’re an aspiring YouTuber, keep in mind what you should do to avoid YouTube channel demonetization. With that in mind, I scoured around YouTube to find some good channels that are entertaining, funny, or even helpful. Here are 5 YouTube channels that you need to subscribe to (in alphabetical order).
Blimey Cow! You may remember them from my interview with Josh Taylor that I hosted a short while ago. They are a group of Christians in Nashville, Tennessee that make many funny videos. Every Monday they may tackle a subject like “How To Talk Like a Christian” or “How To Write A Worship Song in 5 Minutes or Less”. Every Friday they also answer questions they receive from their viewers. Usually the advice is sarcastic however, there has been the rare occasion where Jordan actually answers questions. If sarcasm isn’t your thing then look elsewhere. Otherwise, check out Blimey Cow.
I found this channel when I first started using Photoshop. Ch-Ch-Check It is easily the most friendly, easy to follow channel that teaches you a lot on how to use various Adobe programs. This man takes the time and effort to tell you how to do everything. He leaves no detail out and is the best channel for newbies or even veterans of Adobe’s programs.
That One Video Gamer
Better known as The Completionist, Jirard plays games to 100 percent completion. No matter how much time and effort it takes. He goes over every aspect of the game with his thoughts and factual information. His partner in crime, Greg, spices up the videos with his comedic lack of gaming knowledge. Sometimes his joke are good, “BEARS!”, and sometimes they are just ok. However, all of the videos are entertaining to any gamer and their content is always clean.
This channel actually was mentioned in my Blimey Cow interview. As it turns out, TheThirdPew is pretty dang good. For a 17 year old kid, he talks with a bit more maturity than others his age. Ever wanted someone to call out the super amount of garbage happening on YouTube but in a clean, thoughtful manner? Then TheThirdPew is your guy. I must say, he is always entertaining and his editing makes me cringe at how much time it takes to do those jump cuts.
There is a good chance that if you have been a Christian for even a little while, that someone has told you about Tim Hawkins. This is his YouTube channel where he uploads a lot of his comedy stuff. I suggest getting his DVD’s as they have everything, but his YouTube channel is a great place to get a good laugh and show others that there is good stand up comedy that isn’t about race, money, or women. Every time I watch one of his videos, I end up watching his other stuff and wouldn’t you know it? I spent two hours watching Tim Hawkins and now I am hungry for some Chick-Fil-A.
Bonus: Geeks Under Grace
If I didn’t mention our YouTube channel then I am pretty sure I would be fired! (Please don’t fire me, kthanks?) Our channel is pretty diverse and blah blah blah. Just check us out as well.
Are there any channels we did not mention? Let us know in the comments.
Wesley Wood is an aspiring film director. He would love to make GOOD films to help spread God's word and help Christians grow.
