Uncharted Movie Receives 2016 Release Date

Sony fanboys and girls can finally sleep at night. Sony has announced that the much-anticipated Uncharted movie is slated for June 10th 2016.

There has been much talk about the studio wanting to cast Mark Wahlberg as Nathan Drake, but there has yet to be an official announcement, as of this writing.

I think I speak for the majority of the Uncharted faithfuls when I say “cast Nathan Fillion!” Just look at him! He resembles the character of Nathan Drake so closely you would assume Naughty Dog used his likeness on purpose, just to cause public outcry for his casting. I hope Sony hears me crying!

Seth Gordon [Horrible Bosses] is signed on to direct the picture, while producers from The Dark Knight [Charles Roven] and 28 Days Later [Alex Gartner] will be putting their efforts into the mix as well.

Are you looking forward to this film? Who would you like to see cast as Nathan, Sully, and Elena? Tell me in the comment!

Not an Uncharted fan, not because I don’t like it but because I’ve never invested time into it. That said, I do see the resemblance and I will say yes to Nathan Fillion’s capabilities always if he matches the character.

I’m going to stick with maybe on Nathan Fillion. While I do agree with you. I think he might be a little old for the role now.

I agree with you on him being slightly old for the character, but I don’t feel 100% comfortable putting Mark Wahlberg in the spot either.

Oh no, I’m not comfortable putting Mark Wahlberg in any spot ever.
