This question makes my brain hurt, because I can’t wrap my head around the idea that God has always just existed and He was never created. Even atheists that I’ve debated have asked me this same question about how God was created if He created us humans. I’m pretty sure no one really knows the answer to this question, because we can’t fathom God and His understanding.
You see the Law of Causality states that everything that has beginning has a cause, but see the thing is not everything needs a cause. The Law of Causality doesn’t say anything about having an eternal being to need a cause. I believe that we can’t really go really in depth on this situation, because it makes my brain hurt, and it probably makes your brain hurt as well, and we feel like we are missing something.
I believe this is because of our limited state of mind we have on earth because of sin. I believe once we are in Heaven with God and we have our new bodies, we will fully be able to understand why God had always been there before Creation itself, and be able to find out how God works in mysterious ways.
This may be tough to understand as we are only human, but… God has always been. He is the beginning and the end. That is a tough one to comprehend and accept, when everything we know has a beginning and end. Well, God is outside of time. He created time and everything we know after all.
2 Timothy 2:9
“who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began”
“in hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began”
God is eternal and in a whole other dimension than the one created for us. Simply put, no one created God. God has always been and always will be. I know you may be hoping for more, but sometimes it is really as simple as that.
“For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”
