During the Luke Cage panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel announced that Daredevil will return to Netflix for season three.
The Daredevil team confirmed the news on Twitter along with a short teaser trailer showing off a blood splattered Hell’s Kitchen subway sign.
No release date was announced, but according to the post on Twitter the new season is “coming soon.”
Daredevil first premiered on Netflix in April 2015, and saw the launch of a second season in March of this year. Apart from his third season, Daredevil will be seen alongside Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in The Defenders, which is headed to Netflix in 2017.
Jessica Jones’ first season aired in November of last year, and the show has since been renewed for a second season. Luke Cage, meanwhile, will make his solo debut in September, and Iron Fist’s first season is due to premiere in 2017. The Punisher, who first debuted in Daredevil’s second season, will also receive his own spin-off series on Netflix.
