The Song is a new movie from City On A Hill Studio and Samuel Goldwyn Films inspired by the life of Solomon (from Song of Solomon). The film stars Alan Powell (one of the singers from Anthem Lights), Ali Faulkner (Twilight: Breaking Dawn), and Caitlin Nicol-Thomas (ABC’s Nashville), and also features eleven original songs, each with a folk genre feel. The Song is a movie about the story of Jed King, who is portrayed by Alan Powell, as he carries the burden of living under his fathers shadow. He struggles to try and catch his big musical break. Jed soon meets a young lady named Rose, played by Ali Faulkner, which after a while leads to a romantic relationship. Later on, Jed writes a hit single, ironically titled “The Song”, which makes him an overnight success. He is soon thrown into the limelight and a world of temptation. One of these temptations being found in the form of his on the road opening act Shelby Bale, played by Caitlin Nicol-Thomas. I am truly excited for this movie and I hope some of you will be as well.
