In the trailer above from San Diego Comic-Con 2015, DC Comics fans can get a sneak peak at the upcoming super villain team-up film from Warner Bros. Pictures, Suicide Squad.
Featuring some of Gotham’s most notorious villains, including Deadshot, played by Will Smith, and Harley Quinn, played by actress Margot Robbie, the trailer reveals a few details about the overall plot of the film. Gotham’s government plans to assemble a task force made up of some of Batman’s most notorious villains in order to get rid of the more undesirable criminals. How the team of villains will learn to play nice with one another, and society, in order to accomplish something good, remains to be seen.
The trailer gave us our first look at Jared Leto’s interpretation of the Clown Prince of Crime, Joker. Teased at the end of the trailer, The Joker appeared to be torturing one of his victims. In another shot, he can be seen on the run from Batman with Harley in the passenger seat.
Coming August 2016, Suicide Squad looks to be one of DC’s recent efforts to compete with the success of Marvel’s recent hit, Avengers: Age of Ultron.
