You may recall the Left Behind reboot that came out in 2014. We reviewed it and also made some suggestions as how they can improve the inevitable sequels. Well those sequels are coming and they are being crowdfunded. They are looking to at least get 500,000 dollars which means that Left Behind 2 will have 14,500,000 less dollars to spend than Left Behind (2014). It looks like the film will be shot this fall and released in the summer of 2016.
You may be curious as to whether Left Behind 2 will follow the book. Here is what they said.
“Will it be like the book?
Absolutely. The first movie was designed to explore the day of the rapture in more detail to bring more people into the franchise as “The End Begins”. The books did not go into a lot of detail when it came to the actual events on the day of the rapture, and much of the story was told through the thoughts of the characters. As a result, we had to take some liberties to make it work as a movie. The second film will closely follow the storyline from the rest of the book.”

I'm not sure Midway is a movie everyone would enjoy as much as I did. As a military history nerd, there's a lot of content and history here to consider, but the script is weak and littered with boiled down Hollywoodized action-movie cliches.
With The Irishman, Martin Scorsese has provided yet another late-period masterpiece following his immense acclaim and success with The Wolf of Wallstreet and Silence.
