Seth Rogen and Michael Moore have both stirred up debate about Clint Eastwood’s movie, American Sniper starring Bradley Cooper, through Twitter.
Seth Rogan tweeted “American Sniper kind of reminds me of the movie that’s showing in the third act of Inglorious Basterds.” This is in reference to Quentin Tarantino’s film Inglorious Basterds, in which there is a fake movie about a German sniper. Which means, that Rogen is comparing American Sniper to fake Nazi Propaganda.
Michael Moore posted two tweets. “My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren’t heroes. And invaders r worse” and “But if you’re on the roof of your home defending it from invaders who’ve come 7K miles, you are not a sniper, u are brave, u are a neighbor.” Though, according to Moore, these tweets had nothing to do with the American Sniper movie which he says was an “Awesome performance.” Moore claims he was simply weighing in with his thoughts on snipers in general.
