Some lucky Zelda fans will remember a classic graphic novel from the 90s that is close to the story of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I, personally, read this wonderful book many times before my copy met an untimely demise. I spent the next few years watching sites like eBay for a copy to pop-up (as well as crying myself to sleep at the loss of my first book) and finally came across another copy for around $60. I was able to jump on that purchase and have been vigilant with protecting my newest copy ever since.
To your fortune, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past comic is getting re-released May 5th, 2015, for the much more desirable price of $19.99. It is currently available on Amazon for pre-order at an even better price! This paperback classic is an excellent addition to any Zelda fan’s collection. If you want to know the whole story of A Link to the Past, you’ll definitely want to pick this one up.
The comic does a great job of highlighting most of the events from the A Link to the Past game, but also takes some creative liberties to add to the story. I won’t offer any spoilers here, but the comic introduces some new enemies and an unlikely ally. The beautiful artwork is accompanied by a re-telling of the story that really draws you in. You can take a deeper look into Hyrule lore that was previously almost completely unavailable to you.
