Despite the recent release on July 21st of the fourth and final Kombat Pass Season Pass fighter, Tremor, NetherRealm Studios may have unintentionally spilled the beans about a second Season Pass for Mortal Kombat X.
In a recent livestream of Tremor gameplay that took place on Tuesday the studio made a reference to Tremor’s release being the end of Kombat Pack 1. While nothing has been confirmed at this time, NetherRealm Studios’ last title, Injustice: Gods Among Us, featured two additional DLC fighters after the initial season pass.
Creative Director on Mortal Kombat X, Ed Boon, recently teased the possible inclusion of fighter Rain as a future DLC Kombatant. Rain, Sindel, and Baraka all appeared as enemies in the story mode of Mortal Kombat X and were playable characters in Mortal Kombat 9. With each of these characters having their own animations, X-Ray attacks, and move sets it is a safe bet that they will likely be part of an eventual Kombat Pass 2.
What do you think of additional DLC fighters for Mortal Kombat X? Do you feel they are fairly priced and offer decent variety in the roster? Let us know in the comments.
