Nintendo Account, the all-in-one account to tie in games, purchases, and other content between 3DS, Wii U, Nintendo NX, and Nintendo’s forthcoming mobile titles, is now open for Pre-registration.
To get started, visit the Nintendo Account site to register ahead of the launch of the new service, My Nintendo, that is set to replace the recently canned, Club Nintendo. Users can register using their existing Nintendo ID, Twitter, Facebook, or Google + accounts. Nintendo Accounts mark a huge turning point for Nintendo as not only will it reward players with Platinum Points to trade in for various rewards but it will also allow users to keep track of earned points and cash them in for various rewards.
Registration for Nintendo’s upcoming mobile app, MiiTomo is also now open. To register for the upcoming title that is set to launch in March, users can visit the MiiTomo registration site.
Both My Nintendo and MiiTomo will launch in March. Players will be rewarded with Platinum Points for registering however, unlike points earned through Club Nintendo, the rewards for Pre-registration will expire after 6 months.
